I recently had the opportunity to taste the 06 Signature four years from my previous tasting. I'm pleased to report the wine is just as good. The primary fruit described back in 2010 has started to fade, replaced by more secondary leather and peppermint characters. The oak and tannin are framing and will create a sinewy structure that will hold this wine together for another 10 years as the fruit characters fade.

Deep red in colour, the nose shows rich raspberry and savoury cigar box aromas, the palate is starting to open after a few years of bottle age, with plum and blackberry fruit on the front palate, moving towards minty Cabernet fruit on the back palate. There is a little spice from the oak on the finish and wonderful tannin structure that will allow this wine to age gracefully for 10 + years.
