A deep red with a hint of purple youthfulness around the rim of the glass.
The nose expresses dark fruits and a touch of raspberry that is contrasted by cedary oak and understated licorice.
The wine is tightly coiled and linear across the front palate before it kicks into life on the mid to back palate with spice, dark fruits and cedary complexity.
This wine undoubtedly needs time, but has the hallmarks of a very good lakes folly Cabernet.
