An impressive package from bottle through to it’s contents, the weight of the bottle alone puts some magnums to shame ! The wine pays homage to left bank Bordeaux with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

In terms of colour the wine is a medium red hue in the glass, the nose gives blackberry, graphite and touches of old leather.

There is an elegance and complexity that makes Samantha’s Paddock worthy of it’s price point, it builds in stature and unravels layers of flavour and texture over time, with a backbone of juicy blackberry fruit that keeps the wine moving. The oak is of great quality; tight grained and providing a suggestion of richness, but not overpowering the subtle expression of blackberry and dark cherry that is accentuated by a dusting of spice. The wine finishes with drying dark fruits and graphite.
