2002 Piper-Heidsick Rare

Rare is an apt name for this Champagne, the premium release has only been produced by the Piper-Heidsick house on 7 occasions with 2002 one such occasion. The wine is a light golden colour in the glass, the nose is an intricate web of stone fruits and almond-meal aromas.

This wine is seamless from start to finish, with balance it’s key. The journey on the palate begins with white peach that is rounded by rich autolysis characters, the precise acid keeps all the wines components in check and is the counterpoint to the wonderfully complex fruit characters that make this Champagne so good.
