A medium to deep red with black cherry, rhubarb and an array of brown spices. The oak is beautifully integrated with the sappy black cherry fruit and gives cardamom and cinnamon; tannins are fine but firm and give a cherry pip like bitterness that adds both contrast and texture. There is a touch of smokiness to rhubarb and lingering spices to finish. A very different expression to the Syme vineyard, with George's a more masculine expression.
