2010 Maverick Twins Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre
Wine Rating
91
Mavericks is a small winery from the Barossa that has a growing reputation within wine circle; the twins an elegant and tightly bound GSM that is a blend of both Barossa and Eden Valley fruit.
The wine itself is an impenetrable dark red in colour, the nose has blue and black fruits that are concentrated and framed by tight grained oak. The balance of the wine is impressive, even though the dark fruits are yet to fully express themselves the oak inputs and fine tannins provide good mouthfeel and underwrite this wines propensity to age.
