This was a wine i tasted blind, it’s a blend i’ve never tried and is a good effort given the vintage. The wine was a light to medium red in colour, the nose showed obvious new oak inputs with dense dark cherry and plum aromas.
The palate is brimming with raspberry and plum, the oak is still dominant and tannins are well proportioned to balance dense fruit and accentuated vanillin characters. This wine needs time to show it’s best, but an enjoyable and intriguing release.
