2015 Mount Towrong Lagrein

Lagrein is a variety that isn’t widely planted in Australia, with the most notable examples coming from Northern Italy.

The 2015 Mount Towering Lagrein is sourced from Heathcote and in true Lagrein fashion gives a bright red hue in the glass. The nose provides dusty plum and cherry fruit with background meaty nuances. The palate has a firm baseline of both tannin and acid, something that is expected from the variety and will soften and integrate with time in the bottle. At this time in it’s development the wine is primary and packed with vibrant red berry fruits,the finish is clean and varietal.
