The wine is a medium to deep red in colour, the nose fragrant and complex with dark cherry, rhubarb, middle eastern spices and some savoury undergrowth characters.
The palate slowly unravels with time in the glass and seems to show more each time you go back to it. The wine is medium to full bodied for a Pinot with generous plum that is complemented by savoury spices and tight grained oak.
The tannins are wonderfully layered all the way through the palate and reach a crescendo on the finish with drying dark cherry having length that dwarfs most wines.
