2014 Yarra Yering Pinot Noir

This is a spectacular Pinot Noir, produced from some of the oldest vines in the valley it benefited from some attentive and elegant winemaking, it’s one of the most complete and polished Pinot’s i’ve had for a while.

A light red in the glass the nose is a heady mix of dark and red cherry with sweet oak spice and background notes of sage and earth.

An iron fist in a velvet glove, this wine has purity and concentration of dark cherry and wild strawberry with a line of acidity that is taut and supportive. Fleshy red fruits are held by mouth coating tannin with generous spice a constant across the journey. There is a forrest / earth character that lingers in the background that will continue to evolve and make itself known with time in the bottle.
