This is one serious Pinot Noir, it’s certainly expressive and concentrated yet remains elegant and retains it’s varietal appeal.

A light red in the glass, the nose combines sappy dark cherry that is lifted by undergrowth and attractive spice.

The wine has really good structure that comes from juicy but fine tannin and well proportioned acidity that counteracts the fuller, dark fruited characters of the wine. Black cherry in particular steals the show and works well with the stemmy notes and oak spice that gives another dimension to the wine. The finish is long and steeped in cherry fruit.

A very good example of Pinot Noir from Pemberton that will continue to evolve over the short to medium term.
