2019 Terre a Terre Rose

The wine is a blend of Pinot Noir (70%) and Chardonnay (30%) that was grown across the Bizot, Heysen and Summertown vineyards. The wine was produced from the pressings with the free run juice going into sparkling. The wine is a pretty orange to salmon hue and the high proportion of Pinot Noir shines through on the nose with wild strawberry winning out over citrus fruits and creamy overtones. The wine has bright redcurrant and strawberry fruit that has generosity but is paired against vibrant acidity that is softened by subtle and complex lees inputs. A beautifully composed rose that is made with purpose and conviction.
