2016 d’Arenberg The Broken Fishplate Sauvignon Blanc
Wine Rating
92
Picked early, at only 11.6% this is a well put together wine that plays on freshness and varietal appeal. A light yellow in the glass with a tropical fruited nose that has enough grassy, and herbaceous notes to give plenty of interest.
Crunchy citrus acidity defines the wine and makes it hard to stop at one sip, texturally there is great contrast between punchy gooseberry and high acidity, the finish is drying and moreish.
