A good red hue in the centre of the glass that is browning towards the rim that indicates the wine is holding up well.
The nose evolves with time in the glass, initially there is currant and olive that slowly move towards more mushroom and Forrest floor aromas.
The palate is still holding good plum fruit characters that are drying ever so slightly, there is a developed leather and earth character towards the finish that is balanced with fine lingering tannins. The length is good, and is best consumed now.
