2000 Domaine Epis Cabernet Sauvignon

A dull red with some browning hues towards the rim, the nose has complex tertiary notes of leather and earth whilst still holding brambly blackberry fruit.

Elegant, medium bodied Cabernet that has aged like only cool climate Cabernet can with a tantalising backbone of fine tannin and acidity but enough dark fruits to give dimension and purpose. Touches of tomato leaf work well against drying leather and graphite with the finish having sullen, earthen blackberry.

At 17 years old this is a treat.
