A medium red in colour, the nose is wonderful, showing a heady mix of blackcurrant, dark cherry and olive with meaty undertones.
The palate has a purity of black and red currant fruit, but still manages to be layered and textured. The tannins interject on the back palate and are as fine grained as they are drying, with vibrant acidity and varietal fruit giving the finish superb depth and drive.
This wine is an excellent example of a well made cool climate Cabernet blend, that will continue to develop in the cellar.
