2014 Yarra Yering Agincourt Cabernet Malbec

The Agincourt was initially produced to provide a drink now proposition when compared to the other wines in the Yarra Yering lineup, however this is anything but a drink now proposition. It is certainly delicious now but will support short to medium term cellaring. The 2014 release is made up of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon and 23% Malbec that was sourced from vines planted between 1990 and 1995.

A sea of blue and purple fruits on the nose with varietal cabernet pushing through with blackberry fruit and subtle savoury notes. The palate is supple and expansive and gives the foundation for richer plum to combine with elegant herbaceous notes. The finish is long and generous.
