A dense dark red in the glass, attractive nose laden with olive, plum and even a touch of charcuterie.
The palate has a hardness and greenness with a tart metallic character, in terms of fruit it’s almost Cab Franc like in flavour with juniper berry and smokey black fruits. The wine does grow on you, but the hard tannins need time.
