A medium red in the glass, the nose is red fruited initially before more graphite and earth influence. The palate certainly has a savoury core and plenty of juicy acidity. The influence of oak is noticeable in terms of drying tannin and does detract somewhat from the concentrated fruit. The challenge here as a young wine is the fruit vs tannin vs oak, however it is bound to soften, but will take time.
