Review Detail
2009 Buller King Valley Cabernet Merlot
Wine Rating
89
A mid to deep red in colour, the nose shows dusty cassis, sweeter plum fruit and smoked meats.
The palate is savoury from start to finish with a drying tannin structure that fills the mouth and demands time in the cellar. The wine has a focus on dark berry fruits , with some slight raisin character and spice.
The finish is long and drying with savoury blackcurrant lingering.
