Review Detail
2011 Willow Bridge Dragonfly Cabernet Merlot
Wine Rating
92
A dark red with a youthful purple hue in colour, the 2011 blend is Cabernet dominant (55%) with the balance Merlot (45%).
The nose is youthful with violets, redcurrant, cedary oak and a touch of tomato leaf.
The wine starts with well defined primary fruits of blackcurrant and redcurrant, with some savoriness through the mid palate with complementary spicy notes.
There is good length on the finish of coffee oak, textured dark fruits and chocolate undertones.
This wine is tremendous value for the price, and will certainly reward time in the cellar.
