Review Detail
2007 Wolf Blass Black Label Cabernet Shiraz Malbec
Wine Rating
91
A dense dark red even with a few years in the bottle, the nose is concentrated with dark fruits and wafts of vanillin oak.
The wine is based around a core of ripe, almost raisin plum and blackberry fruit that is pitted against equally decadent oak characters.
The tannins and acid structure carry sufficient weight to balance the other elements on the palate, with enjoyable spice characters in the mix on the long finish.
