Review Detail
2005 Mildara Cabernet Shiraz
Wine Rating
92
A very attractive nose of blackberry, peppermint crisp and supportive vanillin oak.
A classy wine on the palate with what is still tightly bound fruit and tight grained oak. In terms of development more earth and leather characters starting to develop that adds complexity on the mid to back palate. The finish gives dense blackberry and plum that are wrapped by drying tannins and subtle oak spice. Good balance, and a cellaring prospect.
