Review Detail
2010 Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz
Wine Rating
95
A deep glossy red in the glass, the nose is alive with plum, mulberry and a touch of cigar box.
The oak integrated is superb with a supple and spicy vanillin aspect throughout the wine. Blackberry fruit is front and centre with riper plum fruit taking a back seat, tannins are drying and have a slight savoury edge with leathery spice, liquorice and blackberry to finish.
There is a reason why this is one of the most collected wines in this country.
