Take an iconic producer and a great year and you get a wine that is regional, varietal and more than anything a deeply satisfying drink.
The wine is a blend of Cabernet, Merlot, Shiraz and Malbec and has a web of dark berry fruits led by blackberry and plum that are stitched together by a thread of mint and bracken and top notes of cedar.
The wine is medium to full bodied with ample tannin and acidity that is in perfect proportion with drying black berry fruits. Oak gives richness and a chocolate note to the mid palate. The finish has a satisfying melange of dark berry fruits, vanillin oak and choc mint.
