Review Detail

2017 Aylesbury Estate Waterfall Gully Cabernet Merlot
Wine Rating

91
Another value for money release from Aylesbury Estate, the nose enjoys graphite, green olive and just ripe black that are lifted by sweeter tobacco notes.

The wine is built around graphite layered tannins with a milk chocolate edge. Fruit is driving with plum, violets and blackberry before coffee tones and blackcurrant bud make themselves known to finish. A wine to cellar with confidence over the medium term.
