Review Detail
2016 Blue Pyrenees Estate Red
Wine Rating
92
A blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Malbec the wine is a deep red with with youthful hues and lots of primary blackberry and plum fruit with fleshier blueberry notes coming from the Malbec with a touch of earth to finish.
The tannins are grainy and fill the mouth with oak giving spice and cedar tones; blackberry fruits flow with fine lines of acidity that will support future development. There are some subtle vanillin threads to finish.
