A nose of cassis with graphite and earth, the palate is tightly bound with fine tannin and well proportioned acidity. There are some chocolate tones to plum and blackberry fruit with cedar oak giving some richness before impact of bitter dark cocoa. Good, medium bodied length to finish and potential for further development in the bottle.
