Cabernet Blend July 21, 2020
2018 Warramunda Estate Cabernets
Wine Rating

The wine celebrates the vineyards 20th anniversary and is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It is a wine that exudes class and has all the hallmarks to be a remarkable wine over the coming decades. Yarra Valley meets left Bank Bordeaux.

The wine is a deep red in the glass, the nose opens with time after initially showing graphite and blackberry before subtle influence of dark chocolate, old leather and oak derived spice.
The palate has a firm baseline of tannin and acid that is met in equal measure by drying dark fruits, tobacco and dark chocolate build on the mid palate with expressive blackberry and a weave of spice to finish.

A wine worth seeking out.
