Review Detail
2021 Gaelic Cemetery McAskill Cabernet Malbec
Wine Rating
94
The inclusion of Malbec with Cabernet Sauvignon works really well here, giving a plush, cherry like aspect to structured blackberry and spice on the nose. The palate, is supple but has texture and contrast in all the right places. The layered approach to tannin and subtle build acidity are a highlight as they give direction and length whilst not distracting on the flow provided by wonderfully ripe fruit that has just the right influence of chocolatey oak. Very good length and one for the long term.
