Cabernet Blend

2004 Long Gully Estate Cattleyard Cabernet Merlot
Wine Rating
90
Red in colour with a lighter hue towards the rim of the glass.
The nose has tobacco leaf and blackberry with a lovely earthy character.
The front palate has savoury plum that carries through to the mid palate , however it is here the wine is a little thin, but the leathery / tobacco overtones come back to the fore on the back palate.
The finish shows fine dusty tannins and good savoury length, a very enjoyable wine that is drinking near it's peak now.
