Brick red to purple in the glass, the nose has plum and blackberry, the front palate opens with ripe with blackberry and has great complexity with some earthy/cedar notes weaving their way throughout the palate. The tannins are ripe and approachable, but frame the wine well. It is obvious on the finish that there was use of high quality oak with a vanillian richness added to the wine that complemented it's considerable length.
