Deep red in colour, the nose is initially muted but opens up with time in the glass to show savoury cedar and blackberry.
The palate is restrained with a myriad of dark fruits, fine tannins and ever so slight vanillin influences from high quality oak. the length is good and lingers with blackberry fruit.
The 05 Rothwell will no doubt benefit from medium to long term cellaring.
