2012 Cosmo Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

This is the flagship Cabernet Sauvignon produced by Lindsay Corby and showcases the quality of Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and as i’ve lamented a number of times it’s a pity less people seem to know about it.

The wine is a deep red in colour with more youthful hues towards the rim. The nose has plenty of interest with sweet cassis, olive, supporting oak and a touch of liquorice.

The medium bodied palate has depth of blackberry that is given richness by vanillin oak, the tannins are framing with dark olive and sage adding complexity. The wine has very good length to finish with a touch of tomato leaf adding another dimension to the dark fruited and drying finish.
