Witchmount is one of the premier producers in the Sunbury wine region with the Estate having over 100 acres under vine. The region is best known for it’s long living Shiraz, however the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon shows great varietal character with well judged wine maker inputs.

A deep ruby red in colour the nose shows ripe but dusty blackcurrant with undertones of olive and a touch of liquorice.

The medium bodied palate has silky tannins with black fruits and liquorice rounded by integrated new french oak that accentuates subtle spice and milk chocolate characters.

The wine finishes with density of blackberry, balanced acidity and a suggestion of oak. An excellent release that will greatly reward cellaring.
