Cape Mentelle are one of the Pioneering producers in the Margaret River region having planted vineyards in the 1970s, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic and even though showing well now will reward a home in the depths of the cellar to continue to evolve.

A deep but youthful dark red in the glass, a melange of aromas on the nose with fruit in the mulberry to blackberry spectrum with secondary old leather and tomato leaf.

The wine has drive, depth and complexity with drying dark berry fruits taut and tightly bound with spicy French oak, tannins are fine and provide the perfect structural base for the wines further development.

The finish is expansive with concentration of black fruits and touch of tobacco.
