A glossy dark red in the glass, everything is big about this wine apart from the price. It is an absolute bargain at a touch over $20. It doesn’t scream of Cabernet Sauvignon varietal expression but is a generous yet balanced wine that carries it’s 15% alcohol well.

On the nose there is heady oak which provides a sheath of richness to juicy blackberry and plum fruit, the palate is full bodied with unctuous black berry and spicy oak, tannins are there and supporting, helping to frame the densely dark fruited finish.

This wine is drinking really well now, but will reward short to medium term cellaring. This sits well alongside some of Lou Miranda's more expensive stablemates.
