This is the first single vineyard release of the Ribbon Vale Cabernet Sauvignon after 14 vintages with the wine a blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlot
The wine is deep red in the glass with a nose that jumps out of the glass with mulberry, violets and wonderful filaments of oak induced spice. This is a wine that excites, there is an undercurrent of eclectic acidity the works well with red and black fruits that are framed by a touch of old leather and cigar box. The wine finishes with a dark chocolate richness.
A wine that sits comfortably with the famed Wilyabrup Cabernet Sauvignon.
