This wine is great value and exudes the same class as Giaconda's Estate stablemates.
The use of oak is a consistent master stroke from the venerable Beechworth producer, in this case it gives a lifted vanillin aromatics to cedary blackberry fruit and liquorice all sorts.
The wine is both bright fruited and concentrated with supple tannin meeting with grainy cedar and touches of leather, the acid structure is impeccable, the finish is expansive with tomato leaf to cassis.
