2015 Highland Heritage Patrono Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine was released to celebrate 70 years of winemaking of Highland Heritage in the Orange wine region, this is an ultra cool climate Cabernet Sauvignon with the fruit coming from the Borenore region of Orange at an elevation of 830 metres.

A light red in the glass the holds true to it’s cool climate roots, the nose is elegant, refined and aromatic with lifted blackberry, tobacco and wood smoke. The palate gives a pristine array of dark berry fruits etched with gentle spice, an earthen aspect and flowing acidity. The finish is has cassis with lingering tobacco and black olive.

This has the elegance to cellar for a considerable period.
