2015 K1 by Geoff Hardy Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine is sourced from the Estate Vineyard that was established in the Adelaide Hills in 1987, the wine is an impressive and moreish example of cool climate Cabernet from a region that isn’t known for the variety.

A nose of brambly blackberry, graphite and peppery mulberry fruit. The palate is tightly coiled with juicy acidity giving life to generous blackberry fruit that enjoys a lift from spiced french oak and an understated leather and earthen note that will become more prominent with age.

The wines acid and tannin structure are setting this wine up for a number of decades in the cellar, which it will need to fully unfurl.
