Dark berry fruits are lifted by a touch of mint and old leather. The wine doesn’t show a huge amount of varietal characters but has an expansive tannin structure and concentration of fruit that fills every corner of the mouth. Tannins have a bitter dark chocolate edge which when combined with a drying line of acidity give enjoyable contrast to blackberry fruit. Oak plays a very secondary fiddle and the wine has the potential to grow over the medium term.
