Varietal Cabernet meets McLaren Vale with the characteristic dark chocolate that the region is known for and provides an enjoyable counterpart to blackberry fruit on the nose alongside graphite. The palate is rounded and fills the mouth with black fruits, alpine herbs and bitter dark chocolate. There is a savoury aspect to cassis and understated cigar box to finish. Value is dialled up here.
