The wine was produced from the Twin Crossing Vineyard and enjoyed the trappings of 50% new French oak; the nose has blackcurrant, faint cigar box and vanillin tones. The graphite edge to blackberry fruit dominates the palate with the sheer depth of fruit enough to balance the cedar and spice influence of new oak. Tannins are supple but have impact whilst melding with dark berry fruits. The finish lingers with dark chocolate and blackberry.
A full bodied, impactful wine that retains its varietal appeal.
