A nose of black olive and brine with piercing blackberry, violets and graphite. The palate has focus and purity of fruit with a backdrop of bramble, dark cocoa and cedar like spice. Tannins are expansive and fine, giving a cigar box like complexity to the wine and a drying moreish character. The finish is long and lingers with dark fruits and spice.
