Review Detail
2010 McWilliam's Jack Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
88
Purple to red in colour, there is dusty olive and cassis with muted dark fruits on the nose, the oak plays a very secondary role.
The palate has dense blackcurrant on entry, with plum and cedar that starts to thin over the mid palate, the finish has soft drying tannins , but a slight metallic like twang.
This wine certainly needs time to show its true form rather than just flashes of excellence.
