Review Detail
2005 Geoff Merrill Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
91
A very dark red in the glass, the nose provides a balanced blend of blackberry, cedar and bottle aged leather characters.
The palate is a true Cabernet varietal expression with a saturation of dark fruits, drying / earthy tannins and an undercurrent of cassis and mint.
The oak adds richness on the back palate with the finish having mouth drying tannins, expressive blackberry fruit and a touch of leather.
