Review Detail
2008 Banks Thargo Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
93
A dense red in colour, the nose is sweet fruited initially before more savoury blackcurrant aromas take over.
The palate is fine and textured, with an array of dark fruits that are contrasted by tobacco and grainy tannins.
The finish lingers with blackberry goodness, with excellent balance, a surprise given the 15% alcohol.
