Review Detail
2009 Yalumba The Menzies Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
93
A deep red in colour, the nose is a balanced mix of blackberry, cedary plum and restrained oak.
The palate is firm and structured, but still approachable now, it starts with savoury dark plum fruits that show great concentration, the tannins are firm but framing, the length excellent, with expansive dark berry fruits.
The 2009 is a wine destined for the cellar, and another example of the quality of wines released under this label.
