Review Detail
2008 Jacobs Creek St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Rating
93
A dark, slightly developed red in colour, the nose has savoury blackberry fruit, with olive and firm oak supporting.
The palate is intensely youthful with dense dark fruits and cassis that are tightly coiled around drying tannins and vibrant acid.
The 2008 release will need a good decade to come into it's own and should cellar through to 2030 given it's impressive structure.
